Over these years, we have never stopped striving towards our fundamental objective: to offer the construction world a safe, high-performance and sustainable system.
The evolution that has led MTR System® to become a cutting-edge technology is made up of small milestones that have marked the history of these 35 years of ours.
From a small metalworking workshop to the large-scale metal structures sector
Year 1988
It all began in the distant 1967 with the artisan metalworking workshop of father Francesco. After twenty years as a sole trader, and specifically on 28 November 1988, through the will of brothers Andrea and Vito Rizzi, Metal.Ri S.r.l was founded.
Sons Andrea and Vito Rizzi inherited the passion and ingenuity of their father Francesco, transforming a small family metalworking workshop into what would become a cutting-edge reality in the field of prefabricated metal structures.
Year 1994
The real turning point came in 1994, when Andrea and Vito Rizzi entered the world of composite steel-concrete lattice beams, taking charge of their production.
Year 1995
Recognising the potential of this new technology, in 1995 the design activity was launched with an in-house team of engineers. Building a solid and qualified team, made up of people who are also professionals, has accompanied Metal.Ri throughout its growth over the years and continues to do so. Each member is a fundamental pillar of this wonderful family structure.
Year 2013
Driven by the ambition to meet the modern demands of the construction market, the experience and technical skills acquired enabled Metal.Ri to develop new products.
Developing its own technologies, calculation and production processes, in 2013 MTR® System was born — Metal.Ri’s patented lattice beam — following a major research and development investment made possible through collaboration with the Politecnico di Bari and the Università La Sapienza di Roma.
A light prefabrication construction system for the realisation of horizontal structures, following the highest innovative standards in compliance with current Italian and European technical regulations.
Year 2015
Metal.Ri does not stop there. To provide a complete and even more advanced service, in 2015 it established the software house INFO.MTR, involving engineer Giovanni Vitone, a consultant to software development and engineering consulting companies since 1983.
His valuable collaboration made it possible to achieve a major objective: developing simple and intuitive applications for the design and calculation of MTR® elements, ensuring a transparent and open relationship with all structural designers.
Year 2023
Today, MTR® technology is used every year in tens of thousands of square metres of horizontal structures, establishing itself on the market as a benchmark for designers and companies operating in the sector who are looking for advanced construction solutions in off-site building.
To better meet the ever-growing demand, in 2023 the need arose to open a second production unit in Northern Italy, in Briosco in the territory of Monza e Brianza. This decision also stems from the desire to bring its know-how and wealth of expertise to the Northern Italian construction world, where the construction sector is undergoing strong growth and is increasingly seeking innovative and sustainable tools and technologies that optimise construction processes.
Tracing the most important milestones of our history, we are grateful for every single day faced with perseverance, commitment and trust, looking ahead towards the future while never losing sight of our origins and the values that have always guided us, passed down by our father Francesco.
