The construction companies speak: Ing. De Nuzzo & C. Costruzioni S.r.l

The Ing. De Nuzzo Costruzioni & C. S.r.l. is a company operating in the construction sector since 1994, specialised in civil, residential, commercial and public works construction. Among its current ongoing projects is the impressive Galleria Liberty in Lecce.
Galleria Liberty will be a directional, recreational and commercial centre with a large underground car park: an urban regeneration project on the area known as “ex Caserma Massa”. The complex spans 6 levels with direct access from the urban road network, enriched by squares, shared spaces, internal arcades, escalators and lifts.
The MTR® beams were chosen as the construction solution best suited to meeting the demands of this complex project. We interviewed Ing. Sergio De Nuzzo, Managing Director of Ing. De Nuzzo & C. Costruzioni S.r.l., to learn more about this choice.

    • Why did you choose MTR® System? What prompted you to select it?
“We used MTR® System as it represents a sound system that allows us to drastically reduce the time needed to build the structures on our construction sites.”
    • What advantages have you found from your experience with Metal.Ri?
“The main advantage was the support we received during the planning and design of the beams forming part of the structure.”
    • What added value has MTR® System brought to your construction sites?
“Certainly our expectations regarding the reduction in construction time, which as mentioned was a key factor in adopting this system, were met. Furthermore, this technology allowed us to improve efficiency and rationalise the use of labour on site.”
    • What scenarios do you envisage for the construction industry of the future?
“I expect a greater level of prefabrication in structures, which will allow a further reduction in construction time and make the work of the workforce on site easier. At the same time, I am certain that increasing attention will be paid to the type of materials used, both in relation to their environmental impact and to improving the efficiency of the entire construction process.”
