The digital transition of MTR® technology
Thanks to the MTR® applications developed by the partner company INFO.MTR, structural design using MTR® technology is easily implemented.
INFO.MTR’s objective is to provide an open digital framework that delivers MTR® structural design services that are easy to use, reliable and high-quality, ensuring transparent and collaborative interaction with structural engineers.
INFO.MTR has developed mathematical models specifically calibrated to interpret the behaviour of the MTR® construction system, in compliance with the Structural Eurocodes and under an ISO 9001 quality system. These models can be applied easily through plug-ins and dedicated software that integrate with the leading structural calculation programs at national and international levels.
Modular applications for beam pre-dimensioning
With the modules developed by INFO.MTR, designing structures with MTR® beams is simpler and faster. The MTR® software libraries interface natively with the most widely used structural calculation systems (CDS Win, Sismicad, PRO_SAP).
All designers can obtain the pre-dimensioning of beams (evaluating their optimal cross-sections based on the project) and perform precise and detailed verifications of the entire reinforced concrete structure already in the preliminary phase. An iterative and collaborative approach, placing the client at the centre of the development process.
MTR® software for structural design
In order to design the entire structure with MTR® beams and propose the best construction solution, INFO.MTR has developed the MTR® software calculation platform, based on Microsoft – Component Object Model (COM) technology and dedicated Application Program Interface (API).
Using the software, Metal.Ri’s technical office can carry out structural calculations and produce detailed construction drawings, interfacing fully automatically with the most common structural software on the Italian and European markets (SAP2000, TEKLA STRUCTURES, AXIS, ETABS).
Phase 1, Phase 2 and serviceability limit state verifications are carried out on individual structural elements, in compliance with current regulations (NTC 2018 and Eurocodes).
With a simple operation, the technical office can provide files in .dxf format for drawings, .ifc format for the three-dimensional model of the structure (also viewable in a BIM environment) and .rft format for calculation reports.
From design to production
The digital transition process is completed by converting the design solutions stored in the design software into Metal.Ri commercial proposals. These data are then processed into production sheets for factory prefabrication, ensuring full transparency and maximum consistency between the technical specifications of the project and the performance of the construction components. Each element is manufactured in the factory and delivered directly to the construction site, ensuring quality, efficiency and compliance with the design requirements.
