Our History
“From a small metal workshop
to a leader in light prefabrication”
Metal.Ri’s origins can be traced back to the early vision of Francesco Rizzi, who began his career as a blacksmith in a small metal workshop in the 1960s.
Building on the ingenuity and experience inherited from their father, brothers Andrea and Vito Rizzi combined intuition, innovation and investment in new technologies, enabling the company to become a leading player in the field of prefabrication and construction industrialisation.
1967
Francesco Rizzi established his blacksmith business in a small metal workshop in Bitetto.
1988
The company Metal.Ri was founded by brothers Andrea and Vito Rizzi.
1994
Metal.Ri successfully produced its first composite lattice beams.
1995
The in-house technical design department became fully operational.
2014
Metal.Ri obtained the European Patent granted by the EPO for the MTR® System.
2015
INFO.MTR S.r.l., a software house, was established.
2016
The first seismic test of the MTR® System was carried out by the testing laboratory of the University of Basilicata (Unibas).
2020
Italtravi S.r.l. was established and IBS S.r.l. branch opened in Romania.
2022
As part of the company’s internationalisation strategy, “Sistema MTR®” evolved into “MTR® System”.
